dB Volume App Reviews

Stopped working

Not sure when it quit working. Worked fine on new iPod with iOS 9. Havent used it for a while. Now, with iOS 9.2, or whatever the latest version of iOS is, it doesnt work at all.

Loved before; doesnt work with iPhone 6S

I loved this app and used it all the time. Walking around Disneyland, whenever something sounded too loud to me, Id pull out the app and the volume would be exactly 85dB. Im sure Disney had their sound engineers make it so; it was also a good test of the app. The readings always felt correct, and helped me decide when to wear earplugs at concerts, or if my kids were playing their music too loudly. Unfortunately this app does not seem to work on the iPhone 6S, even after upgrading. I made sure it has access to my mic under my privacy settings. Im blaming Apple, not the app developer, so Im giving a 5* review for an app Ive loved in the past, but Im posting this so that others are aware of the problem. It does still work with my iPod Touch, which is iOS Version 9.1. --Beth

Used to be great

I loved this app when I found it. It worked perfectly. I have a youth group and obviously our music can get loud. To make sure it wouldnt get too loud I often used this app. It was a must have. However I tried recently to use this and the app will not work at all. I played with the setting and on weighting it displayed -2147. Needless to say it seems like this has a critical bug. Uninstalling for now to get a decibel meter that works. As soon as this is operational again Id love to use it!

Its not working!

Ever since I purchased the pro version that this one is not working!

Worked only once ...

Then keeps showing "0db". Bye bye.

Working with iOS 9.3!!

It works beautifully! Use this for voice exercises to make sure Im loud enough. Best program out there!

Sound engineer

Nice meter, but sensitivity is way off. The A weighting is 3db low, the B weighting is 10db low, the C weighting is 15db low. I checked with a calibrated Simpson 886 sound level meter. It would be nice if a calibration feature was included so that it could be adjusted to agree with a professional meter. With a C noise level of 50db, this meter says its 35db.

Doesnt work with 5s

Works with 4s
